Galion City Health Department has been serving our community since 1869 with public health prevention services.
The remarkable reduction of communicable and vaccine-preventable diseases, along with improved health status and general quality of life are attributable to advances in public health. Our education, intervention, consultation, surveillance, and other health services are designed to improve health outcomes.
Your Health Department is here to serve you in the prevention of disease, promotion of health, and the protection of our community's health. Public health reaches everybody, everywhere, everyday.

About the 2026 Crawford County Community Health Improvement Plan
Crawford County Health Partners (CCHP) is committed to bringing people and organizations together to strengthen the health and well-being of our community. The 2026–2028 Crawford County Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) is the result of a collaborative, data-driven process grounded in our 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), conducted in partnership with Moxley Public Health and numerous community organizations.
This plan identifies our county’s priority health needs and outlines coordinated strategies to address them. It reflects the voices of local residents who shared their experiences, concerns, and ideas through surveys and interviews, as well as the dedication of partners who work every day to improve health where we live, work, learn, and play.
CCHP extends sincere appreciation to all who contributed. Together, we are building a healthier, more vibrant Crawford County.
