The Communicable Disease Program at Galion City Health Department provides:

  • Epidemiological activities directed toward disease prevention, detection, and surveillance
  • Notification to the public of their risk of communicable disease
  • Management and control of disease throughout the community
  • Outbreak investigations
  • Investigation of reports of communicable disease. Those who are required to report a case or suspect case of a disease include health care providers (physicians, hospitals, and infection control professionals), laboratories, and any individual having knowledge of a person suffering from a disease suspected of being communicable.
